Roasted Brussel Sprouts

This might sound crazy, but I love brussel sprouts. I loved them before I tasted them roasted, and even more now. If you haven’t been a fan of this wonderful vegetable before, I dare you to try this recipe. If it doesn’t at least make them slightly more appealing, you never have to taste it again. On the other hand, if you like them already, you can experiment and try something new!IMG_7259

Roasting vegetables is a great way to bring out their flavour and add a little punch that boiling just can’t quite do. These also have a light spice of pepper, salt and nutmeg, and you could definitely try other spices! IMG_7278

Ingredients
  1. 8-10 small brussel sprouts per person
  2. Nutmeg
  3. Pepper
  4. Salt
  5. Olive oil
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Trim the end off of the sprouts and take off any loose or dead leaves.
  3. Toss sprouts in a few tablespoons of olive oil so they're lightly coated.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a little nutmeg to taste.
  5. Roast in a 9x13 pan for 25 minutes.
