Review: Sukin Organic Rosehip Oil

Is your skin oily, then dry, and everything in between? Do you suffer from acne scars or agitated skin? I have something for you to try: Rosehip oil.rosehipoil

I have been using this amazing, one-ingredient moisturizer for the past 6 months or so, and I don’t think my skin has ever felt or looked better.  I’ve always suffered through periods of my skin being really sensitive and having very dry patches, and am still healing up some old scars and uneven skin tone.  While other oils have temporarily balanced my skin, there always came a point when suddenly things wouldn’t be working.  I have tried jojoba oil, coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, and some cream moisturizers, as well.  I’m committed to having a simple, minimalist skincare routine, and rosehip oil has been the key to mine.

I was looking at rosehip oil specifically to target my combination skin, and wanted something I could use morning, night, and under makeup during the day.  Rosehip oil has been all of that and more. Here are 5 of the things I love most about it:

1. It absorbs instantly, but leaves my skin with a nice, warm, glow.

2. Dry patches are a thing of the past; my skin is rarely overly dry or oily anymore!

3. My skin tone has evened out, and any pigmentation has faded significantly.

4. It hasn’t caused any clogged pores or blemishes.

5. One little $20 bottle has lasted over 6 months, and I’m sure I’ll have it for at least a couple more.

If you’re looking for an easy moisturizer that will be great for your skin, rosehip oil is the way to go. Who can beat a moisturizer that only has one ingredient?  I like the Sukin brand because they use sustainable, solvent-free, cold-pressed oils that are 100% organic, and are very open about their ingredients.  It’s also easy to find, and their prices are really reasonable.  I’ve even found some of their products at Marshall’s or Winners for less!
